A SPECTATOR at last summer's Llama Festival, Richard Potter, said that 12-year-old Kiera Osment "could be a case for reincarnation" as her lyrics evoked those of a person who belied their age.

This year will be ram-packed for the Barnstaple youngster. Already she has played a variety of stages and has gigs lined up at The Fleece in Exeter, The Maker Festival, Tiverton Balloon Festival and the Cornwall Folk Festival in August.

Kiera has earned airplay on BBC Radio's Introducing. She has recently completed an EP entitled Dreams And Destinations, available at Solo Music in Barnstaple.

Arguably her biggest news is making the longlist for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition. Closer to home is an appearance at St Anne's Chapel.

Kiera Osment plays St Anne's Chapel, Barnstaple on Thursday, April 18, 8pm. Tickets: £7.50 from the Plough Arts Centre box office (01805 624624) or St Anne's Chapel.
