CALVERT Trust Exmoor has launched the Exmoor Calvert Challenge, a half-day of five adventurous activities for teams of six people.
Teams compete against other companies, groups or clubs to reach the top of the leaderboard and take the title of Exmoor Calvert Challenge Champions.
The challenge is open to any company or group and is available any Monday or Friday during September, October and November.
It costs £120 per group, which includes activities and refreshments, or groups can stay for the whole day to enjoy lunch and another half-day of other activities for £200 per group.
All teams competing will have their time and a group photo included in the online leader board. At the end of the season the top three teams will be presented with an award by Calvert Trust Exmoor's chairman of trustees, and the winning team will get the Exmoor Calvert Challenge trophy to display for a year.
The entire £120 paid for a team of six is placed in bursary funds to support people with disabilities in need of help with the cost of a break. For details visit www.calvert-trust.org. uk/challenge.
Four teams from Barnstaple-based Actavis have been volunteering on site at Calvert Trust Exmoor to help out with various improvements including gardening, fencing, and preparing for the planting of more sensory beds in the courtyard garden and on the challenge course.
Rob Lott, head of communications at Calvert Trust Exmoor, said: "We really appreciate the help we receive from all our corporate partners and individual volunteers. Their support is vital for us to continue to be able to continue to challenge disability through outdoor adventure."
As a small thank you for all their help, Actavis volunteers were given the opportunity to try out Calvert Trust Exmoor's Giant Swing.
