THE Journal has been of benefit to Councillor Greenslade and has always given him chance to air his views on any subject.
I was surprised and sad that he attacked your paper over the e-mails to councillors. In my view the action of your reporters was very much a matter of public interest the reporting was fair and accurate.
As leader of NDDC perhaps he will now disclose a list of expenses to councillors which seems to have been unavailable during his term of office. I am sure you would oblige him by publishing them. I would also like to know the total debt of the NDDC at the present time compared to when he came into power as leader.
In these stringent times the free press have the right and the duty to scrutinise councils and their efficiency and I hope that you continue to do so. To compare your actions to the Australian radio phone calls belittled the seriousness of their actions.
