TWO Devon pubs were the victims of rural burglaries on Friday night.
The London Inn in Molland was burgled some time between 3am and 8am.
Police say the premises was entered through the ground floor and £1,700 of cash was stolen along with two laptops.
£300 of the cash was made up Irish and Scottish notes.
One laptop is particularly distinctive as it is a brown Toshiba model from Africa and has a sticker marked 'Serviced by Morwanza Computer Services.'
The other is an Apple laptop which has some keys missing.
PC Nick Rowell said: "I am after any information from the local community that might help. Maybe someone attempting to cash in the Irish or Scottish notes or if any suspicious vehicles/persons have been seen in that very rural area."
The Swan Hotel in Bampton was also targeted, which police believe may have been committed by the same offender.
Anyone with information should ring 101 quoting crime reference number CS/13/467.
