TWO men accused of affray and brandishing a breeze block and a pick axe handle in public have had their cases committed to Crown Court.
Anthony Hemmings, 30, from Bude, and Kenneth Hemmings, 52, from Holsworthy, allegedly used or threatened unlawful violence towards other people.
In addition it is alleged that Anthony Hemmings, of Stursdon Farm, possessed half a breeze block during the incident in Bradworthy on August 26 last year, while Kenneth Hemmings, of Powlers Piece Cottage, was in possession of a wooden pick axe handle.
Both men pleaded not guilty to the two offences and have had their case adjourned for a trial at Exeter Crown Court on March 8.
Kenneth Hemmings was granted unconditional bail and Anthony Hemmings was granted conditional bail not to contact the six people involved in the alleged incident and not to enter Bradworthy Social Club or Bradworthy Inn.
