A late goal from Steve Murray condemned Ilfracombe Town to a 1-0 defeat at Street in the Toolstation Western League this afternoon.
Despite being reduced to 10 men after a first-half red card for Ben Amghar, the Somerset club did enough to take the points.
Following the fine 2-1 win at Buckland Athletic on Wednesday, Ilfracombe made a positive start with Steve Holland firing over and Craig Allan having a header cleared off the line.
Amghar was dismissed in the 40th minute for a last-man foul on Frank Paxton, although it looked a harsh decision from referee Ben Cobb, who did not endear himself to either side by issuing seven yellow cards.
Ilfracombe struggled to create chances in the second half and Street went close with Murray drilling over and curling a free kick against the crossbar.
It looked as though the game would fade out for a goalless draw until Murray beat the offside trap, racing in behind James Mayne to fire past Kurtis Parkin in the 87th minute.
The result keeps Street in third place in the Premier Division, while Ilfracombe are fourth from bottom.
