EVERY October, museums, galleries, heritage sites, libraries, schools and parks join in The Big Draw, inviting people to discover how drawing can connect them with their surroundings and community.
As a way of supporting The Big Draw, The Plough Arts Centre has created an annual Open Drawing Competition for artists from across the South West. This is its fifth year and the number of entries has increased year by year.
Artists Peter Stiles and Grizel Luttman-Johnson are this year's judges. A shortlist of entries chosen by the judges will form an exhibition with a £500 first prize, £100 second prize and £50 third prize.
All are welcome to the exhibition launch and awards night on Friday, October 4, 7pm. The exhibition runs at the Plough Arts Centre, Torrington until Saturday, October 26.
