Which supermarket does the cheapest school uniform?

Comments (2)

Every parent knows - and any parents with children starting school this September are about to find out - just how expensive school uniforms can be.

Not only that, our little learners need countless spares as the kit comes home covered in grass stains, felt tip pen blotches, crusty food - or simply lost and never to be seen again despite you labelling EVERYTHING!

But where oh where sells the cheapest uniforms?

Aldi is selling a dirt cheap uniform package – one round neck sweater (£1.25), plain polo shirt two pack (£1.25) and trousers or skirt (£1.50) – for just £4.

The good news is that we're getting an Aldi at the end of July - and the uniform is already available to reserve so you can pick it up when the shop opens.

But how do North Devon's other supermarkets compete? We've crunched some numbers and done the leg work for you:

Round Neck Sweater 2 Pack from £4
Plain Polo 3 Pack from £3.50
Trousers/Skirt 2 Pack from £6
Total - £13.50

Round Neck Sweater from £3
Plain Polo 2 Pack from £2.50
Trousers/Skirt from £3
Total - £8.50

Round Neck Sweater from £2
Plain Polo 2 Pack from £2.50
Trousers/Skirt from £3
Total - £7.50

Round Neck Sweater from £2
Polo Shirt 2 Pack from £2
Trousers/Skirt from £3
Total - £7
