THE emancipation of women and the Suffragette movement is the theme of Wrong 'Un, a musical drama by Red Ladder of Leeds.

It's February 1918, and women at last have the vote after decades of protest. Wrong 'Un tells the tale of Annie Wilde, a Lancashire mill girl galvanised by a mixture of injustice, conviction, self-doubt and fear on her journey from schoolroom to prison cell – and beyond.

Red Ladder, who produce work to support social change and global justice, are supported by Arts Council England and Leeds City Council.

Wrong 'Un - A Suffragette's Story is at the Plough Arts Centre, Torrington on Tuesday, February 4, 1.30pm and 8pm. Matinee tickets: £7 (full); £6 (concession); £5 (supporter). Evening: £10 (full); £8 (concession); £7 (supporter). Box office: 01805 624624, www.theploughartscentre.org.uk.
