Work to improve a Northam Burrows access road is due to start later this month.
The potholes in Sandymere Road, which leads onto Northam Burrows from the Northam side, will start to be repaired on April 29.
Devon and Cornwall Surfacing, based in Abbotsham, have been contracted by Torridge District Council, who own the burrows.
The work is due to finish on May 3 and the road will be closed for the five days while the work is carried out.
Access onto the burrows will still be possible on the road from Westward Ho! which follows the pebble ridge and from the Appledore side along The Watertown entrance road.
