A woman claims to have taken a photo of ghoul during a tour of a manor in Ilfracombe.
Glen King said she also smelled jasmine talcum powder and got an icy sensation during a tour of Chambercombe Manor.
Glen, who directs her own PR and marketing company, took two photos, the first of which she says shows “nothing untoward".
But a shape can be seen in the top right hand corner of the second photo which Glen claims is a ghoul.
She said infrared lights were set off by someone walking past - even though everyone in the tour group was sitting down.
When she took the photo, the group were sitting in the pitch dark but the camera flash lit up the room, revealing what she claims is “clearly a ghoul”
She said: “You can clearly see the image of a ghostly face with hair, eye sockets, nose, chin and neck.”
Sue Johnson, at Chambercombe Manor, said a range of paranormal experiences were reported during tours.
She said: “Some people have claimed to have their hair pulled or been poked in the back or tapped on the shoulder.
“Others have heard a lady humming or smelt different aromas - some pleasant and some not.”
