IRREVERENT, hilarious and sophisticated, Private Lives, overflows with Noel Coward's celebrated eccentric wit and skilful comedic staging. Catch Heartbreak Theatre's funny, fast-paced open air production of the play at Hartland Abbey on Saturday.

Moving from misfortune to full-blown absurdity, the show, set in the Thirties, promises to be the perfect recipe for a stylish evening's entertainment that combines all the bubbles and froth of vintage champagne alongside its depth and complexities.

There will be refreshments available including a barbecue by Exmoor Kitchen, a Pimm's and wine bar and ice creams. Take rugs and low-backed chairs. Free entry to the grounds and gardens two hours before the performance starts for audience members.

Tickets: £12.50 (full), £10 (concession), £9 (Plough supporter), £45 or £27 (family). Plough box office: 01805 624624.
