Warrant issued for alleged hotel burglar

Michael Cloak is accused of three burglaries at a Barnstaple hotel.

A JUDGE has issued a warrant for the arrest of a Barnstaple man after he failed to turn up for a hearing of his case at Exeter Crown Court.

Michael Cloak, aged 39, of Victoria Road, Barnstaple, is due to stand trial accused of three burglaries at a hotel in the town last November.

His is accused of stealing property including and iPad and car keys from rooms at the Royal and Fortescue Hotel between November 1 and 4.

He did not appear at Exeter Crown Court where his case was listed for mention and Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, issued a warrant for his arrest.
