THE first publicly accessible defibrillator has been ordered for Braunton, and is due to be installed in the next couple of weeks.

The kit was funded by the village's traditional Boxing Day tug-of-war between The Agricultural Inn and The Black Horse, which raised a record £1,040.

The portable defibrillator will join two others which are already sited at Braunton Academy and Braunton Football Club, but are restricted in access.
