Hundreds of spectators turned out for the annual Ilfracombe Rugby Club fireworks and bonfire event on Friday evening.
More than 300 people graced the slightly muddy turf at Brimlands for a real bonfire and dramatic fireworks display.
The rugby club was once famed for its virtual bonfires where organisers projected video of a fire onto a large screen.
However, the club decided to ditch the projector in favour of the real thing two years ago.
Ilfracombe Rugby Club spokesman Leo Cooper said: "It's been a great evening, it's nice to see so many families out and having a good time.
"The fireworks display was fantastic and everyone seemed to have a good night."
