MANY homes across North Devon will need to retune their televisions today.

Changes are being made to the Huntshaw Cross transmitter and other transmitters to make way for the latest mobile technology 4G.

If you receive your TV picture though an aerial, then it is likely you will need to retune. If you do need to retune your TV, you will also need to retune any connected recorders.

You can retune from 6am in Barnstaple, from 11am in Braunton and Ilfracombe, from 12pm in Combe Martin and Great Torrington and Hartland from 3pm.

Other transmitters may suffer outages throughout the day but should be finished by 3pm.

Ian Bennett, manager of electrical retailer Bernard Smith, said: "For anyone baffled by modern technology we are here to help them."

If you have any retuning questions, watch our special video below:Alternatively, you can contact Bernard Smith on 01271 343503 to arrange assistance.

Yet another frustrating attempt to resolve the signal issues in North Devon. I deal with The Electric Store in Ilfracombe and they are very kindly coming to me on the Weds to re-tune my equipment. Lets hope this makes some difference although i am not holding my breath. This may help the residents of Ilfracombe and Combe Martin with retuning: The Electric Store 01271 866824
