Union plans to vote for new officers

MEMBERS of the National Farmers Union will soon be voting for their new national officers.

There are two nominations for president, Adam Quinney and Meurig Raymond, who's met with North Devon farmers in recent years. Mr Quinney is also nominated as deputy president along with Minette Batters, Thomas Binns, David Brookes and Rosey Dunn.

There are seven names in the hat for vice-president and the nominees will travel around the country to every NFU region to put their case to members before the election at annual meeting on Wednesday, February 26.
