Threats of snow today will disappear come tomorrow, with North Devon in for a mixed bag of weather over the weekend.

Patchy snow has fallen today on ground over 400 metres today, but not enough to cause disruptions.

A forecaster at the Met Office said the weather in North Devon will not be too bad on Saturday, with mainly dry conditions expected.

“There will be some bright spells but a fair amount of cloud,” said the forecaster. “One or two light showers are expected off the coast.”

The top temperature will be around eight degrees which will drop to five degrees overnight.

Through the day on Sunday it will be fairly mild with temperatures averaging around nine degrees.

“It will be fairly cloudy and then light rain will hit which will become heavy later on through the afternoon and into the evening,” said the forecaster.

It will also be fairly breezy on Sunday which will continue into Monday with gusts of up to 40mph expected around coastal areas.
