Theft of garden ornaments in Bideford area prompts police appeal

A number of garden ornament thefts in the Bideford area has prompted police to appeal for information.

The first incident involved theft of a concrete bird bath which had a design of two otters on it sometime between Wednesday, February 12 at 7pm and 9am the following day in Bideford.

The crime number for this incident is CD/14/318.

Secondly a small gold and white decorated pergola measuring two cubic feet was stolen from the Appledore area.

The pergola separates into three sections and is made of concrete.

It was stolen sometime between Thursday, February 20 at 5pm and Friday, February 21 at 5pm. The crime number is CD/14/376.

Incident three took place in Westward Ho! sometime between Wednesday, February 19 at 1pm and the following day at 1pm.

It involved theft of a green coloured statue representing a male and female Romeo and Juliet design. The crime number is CD/14/375.

The fourth incident also occurred in the Westward Ho! area and involved the theft of a black sea serpent measuring around three feet.

The theft took place sometime between Thursday, February 20 at 4om and 8am the following day.

Anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting the relevant log number.
