A television production company is on the hunt for chefs in North Devon who want to take a step up the ladder and compete for head chef positions at top restaurants throughout the country.

Twofour Broadcast, who make award winning shows such as Educating Yorkshire, Royal Marines Commando School and The Fixer, are currently casting for the show which they say will be aired on a major terrestrial TV channel.

The production company says it already has a big TV star lined up to present the show.

A Twofour spokesman said: "We are looking to cast chefs in North Devon to take a step up the career ladder and compete for a Head Chef position at brilliant restaurants across the country.

"This will give them the opportunity to plan menus, run teams and be head of their own kitchen.  This is brilliant for chefs who would love to showcase their culinary expertise on TV all week."

The casting advert says: "Are you an ambitious chef looking for an exciting new challenge?

"Do you want to take part in a brand new TV series for a job interview like no other?"
