STAFF at Tesco Extra in Barnstaple have been celebrating a successful year of raising money for Diabetes UK.
To mark the anniversary, staff took part in a number of weird and wonderful dress-up themes, ranging from nightwear to onesies.
The nationwide campaign has raised more than £10 million for the charity, with Barnstaple’s Extra store raising nearly £5,000 for the campaign.
Ailsa Elkins-McDonald, community champion at the store, said: “We wanted to do something to celebrate the year, so we decided to go with lots of little things.
“We have done lots of events to help raise money, and I think it shows with the current total. Tesco will also put an extra 20% on top of what is raised at the end of the financial year which is fantastic.”
