FREE milk for a year, a six-foot sandwich and a day out in a lorry are among some of the weird and wonderful lots up for grabs at a charity auction in Bideford on Thursday.

The event, at Torridge Auctions on Barnstaple Street, features 45 lots which will raise money for 11 local charities including Encompass SW, North Devon Cancer Care Trust and the Chemotherapy Appeal.

Other items on offer include a tour of the Houses of Parliament, a cricket bat signed by Sachin Tendulkar, an abstract painting of Damien Hirst’s Verity statue and a signed picture of Frank Bruno.
