BIDEFORD and Barnstaple are discussing switching the Boxing Day rugby derby to Pottington Road.
The match was due to be held at Bideford's King George's Field.
But with today's heavy rain falling on the already saturated pitch – and more forecast for the weekend – it is doubtful it will be playable.
Both clubs are keen for the match to go ahead and a final decision is expected to be made later today.
Bideford worked hard to make the pitch playable for their league match against Bude on Saturday. A 5-5 draw was played out in mudbath conditions.
