STAMINA and strength over the hills helped Rose Terribile take the Arlington Court Canter 10k title.
The Woolacombe athlete has had an excellent winter, winning her age group in the South West Championships and making her debut for Devon at the Inter-Counties.
Her off-road form on Sunday with victory in the women's race around the National Trust grounds. Terribile was 13th overall among 159 finishers and her winning time of 42mins 56secs was almost two minutes faster than her previous effort two years ago.
Mark Jenkin, of Bideford AAC, retained the men's title in 35-55 – nine seconds faster than last year.
Peter Sutton was second for the Road Runners in 38-54 and Tim Reed, continuing his comeback after a serious back injury, third in 39-48.
Shaun Antell secured a convincing victory in the Tavy 13 half marathon at Tavistock. The Bideford Blues athlete won in 73mins 55secs – more than seven minutes clear.
Steph Olliffe (1-44-02) won the F45 category for Torrington AAC.
Tracey Hulland was the fastest among seven South Molton Strugglers in the Copenhagen Half Marathon, finishing in 1-36-42.
North Devon Road Runners will host tthe 17-mile Hartland Hartbreaker and eight-mile Hartacher on May 4.
