Rose Ball has been invited to play in an England Women’s Development Programme match at Loughborough University.
Rose, 12, from Northam, plays for Devon under-13s, Tarka Girls and the Bideford boys’ team.
She is a quick bowler who impressed the England selectors when she took five wickets on the first day of the Under-13 Girls County Festival at Malvern College, Worcestershire.
Rose was nominated for the England programme by Jan Witheridge, her Tarka and county manager.
“Rose has really grown into her cricket this year,” said Jan. “She has become far more dynamic in the field and gained confidence with her batting as well as being a formidable opening bowler for the county squad.”
