Advertorial Feature

The Grandeur of the Seas is one of the 6 ships that make up the Royal Caribbean Vision Class of cruise liners. Offering a more intimate holiday experience than the mega cruise liners, yet still boasting a huge range of entertainment and facilities, these truly are cruise ships for holidaymakers who want to experience the best of both worlds. And that’s exactly what you get on a holiday aboard the Grandeur of the Seas.

What’s available?

The Grandeur of the Seas is one of the oldest ships in the Royal Caribbean range, not that the majority of its passengers would realise. The cruise liner underwent a massive $48 million refurbishment in May this year, giving its existing facilities a serious update and adding a range of new services to its list. Some of the upgraded facilities on offer include a new entertainment area, known as the Centrum, which showcases a high flying air show where performers soar across the five-story atrium.

Dining and entertainment

There’s a huge assortment of food and drink options to choose from, with Italian and Asian restaurants, as well as a café, a steakhouse and an exclusive restaurant, the Chef’s Table. You can opt for signature cocktails at one of the 7 bars and lounges or take a roll of the dice at the Casino Royale gaming area.

What about families

Families are more than catered for with a holiday on board the Grandeur of the Seas. While parents are taking a dip in the open-roofed Solarium Pool, children can be participating in the Adventure Ocean Programme, which runs a full list of activities and entertainment options for kids of all ages. There are pool areas specifically designed for young families, or if you need a few moments away from all the splashing and water activities, the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery can give your children some peace and quiet.

Destination options

As part of the Vision class of ships, the Grandeur of the Seas sails to a wide range of destinations. Some of the holiday options available include a winter sun getaway to Corsica or Dubrovnik. Alternatively, travellers can make the most of the gondolas, stunning food and wide array of museums in Venice. Finally, another one of the popular cruise deals available for passengers on-board the Grandeur of the Seas is a cruise to Roatan in Honduras, for a scuba diving and snorkelling adventure.
