PEOPLE across North Devon attended church services and parades on Sunday to remember those servicemen and woman who gave their lives in two world wars and in subsequent conflicts around the world.

Veterans and serving soldiers joined civic dignitaries and representatives from youth organisations to pay their respects to the fallen and to those who continue to put their lives on the line for this country in current arenas of war.

In communities around North Devon they observed a two minutes’ silence and laid wreaths of poppies at memorials.
