IF YOU want to get a touch of retro glam and vintage style in your life, home and looks this December, then the Landmark Theatre’s first Vintage Fair might be a good place for a rummage around.
For bygone beauty and elegant living from past eras, look no further.
“This fair promises to be a great day out and a fabulous opportunity to get some of your Christmas shopping done,” said organiser Sandy Campbell.
“We have something for everyone including Alison Brooks of Vintage Grace with her exquisite vintage clothing and Jenny Coslett from Button and Stars who makes delightful gifts from vintage and retro fabrics.
“There will be demonstrations of how to do vintage hair styles in the foyer and in the theatre we will be screening two classic films. Delicious food, refreshments and mulled wine will served up on vintage china courtesy of Ellie By The Sea in our very own Rendezvous Cafe.”
There are vintage stylings for little ones too. Nicola Cox sells retro inspired children’s clothing and Rosemary Hallett has a splendid array of vintage toys. While Furniture Magpie will be selling re-worked vintage furniture.
Two classic films will be shown on the day: Breakfast At Tiffany’s and Some Like It Hot. There will be cinema tickets or cream tea prizes for the best dressed Audrey Hepburn, Vintage Gent or Marilyn Monroe.
The Rendezvous Café will be serving Christmas roasts and mulled wine using vintage crockery supplied by Ellie By The Sea.
The Vintage Fair is at the Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe on Sunday, December 8, 10am to 4pm. Entry: £1. Free entry to under 16s. Film entry price: £2 (adult), £1 (child). Money raised goes to the theatre’s Love Arts fund.
