MUCH fundraising and generous donations have been made towards the running of our cottage hospital.
How much has been spent developing this initiative by Dr Coop and his group?
No consideration has been given to the needs of the patient requiring 24/7 care when necessary, for pre, post operative or general respite time. Waiting at home for the next care visit can be an anxious and stressful time.
I suspect the majority of the patients, past and present, live alone. Company is also vital to the healing process. This suggested plan being promoted should be renamed Care in Isolation.
Loneliness and worry do not benefit recovery and wellbeing. It is not good patient practice.
