PETROC has been named as one the first two centres in the country to deliver the Higher Apprenticeship in Retail Management by awarding body ABC Awards.
The apprenticeship is a new qualification which aims to increase excellence across the retail sector and is aimed at learners of any age working in a retail role.
Two qualifications within the apprenticeship provide flexible opportunities to reflect individual needs. Each qualification consists of a mandatory unit covering customer service or retail management skills plus a wide variety of optional units, including social networking, auditing stock and an opportunity to focus on an independent strategic management project.
Paul Eeles, chief executive of ABC Awards, said: "We are really excited to welcome Petroc on board as our first centre to deliver this qualification.
