Around 70 people took part in the traditional New Year’s Day swim in Woolacombe yesterday.
The event, organised by Don Duffield on behalf of Woolacombe Surf Life Saving Club, saw several brave individuals plunge into the chilly sea.
No wetsuits were allowed, although some people wore T-shirts and baggy bottoms.
Most of the dippers were club members, while the rest were friends and relatives.
The oldest to brave the waves was 72.
