Hoards of colourful floats and walkers gathered for Combe Martin Carnival parade on Wednesday night.
The rain held off for the event, which took place in the middle of a week-long celebration in the village.
Carnival committee secretary Dave O'Farrell said the night went brilliantly, with no delays or injuries.
"There was a lovely atmosphere," he added. "Plus the rain stayed away which was great. We had real good quality floats and walkers too.
"A lot of work had gone in from everyone."
Dave said there were 10 floats entered in the carnival and many walkers.
The carnival continued last night with bingo and a children's pavement art competition.
Tonight will see the popular wheelbarrow race take place from the top of the village from 8pm.
It will carry on through the village down to the beach where a firework display will round off the events.
The final day of the carnival will take place tomorrow with a static motor show in the Pack O' Cards car park.
