The annual fair in Barnstaple has been attracting thousands of people of all ages and is set to be even busier over the weekend.
These pictures capture the amazing scenes from the fairground in Seven Brethren which is one of the biggest events for the Barnstaple each year.
Michelle Moyse, who took the pictures, was able to get a bird’s eye view from North Devon Leisure Centre.
The annual proclamation of Barnstaple Fair took place at the town's Guildhall on Wednesday.
Various dignitaries, councillors and businessmen from across North Devon gathered for the event which sees the four-day fair officially opened.
During the ceremony a large white glove was suspended above the Guildhall which town mayor Lesley Brown mentioned in her speech.
She said: "When you leave the guildhall raise your heads to see the hand of friendship which welcomes visitors from far and near.
"I know some of our guests our very local, and others have had to show their passports to get to Devon, but wherever you have travelled from today, thank you for joining us on our special day."
The fair will continue until tomorrow when the Barnstaple Carnival also takes place with a procession through the town starting at 6.30pm.
