Character: Robin Hood (above).

Role in the panto: Leader of the Merry Men and always up for lending a hand to the needy, plus a scrap with the Sheriff Of Nottingham. An outlaw with righteousness on his side who also wants to be Maid Marian's hero.

Strengths: He is strong. He's also charming and handsome – a genial host. He's also skilled in combat, evasive when outnumbered and possesses a fine tenor voice.

Weaknesses: Strong women (one in particular).

Most likely to say: "Tonight we will drink, eat and be merry."

Least likely to say: "What time is EastEnders on? I fancy a quiet one."

Biog: Aston's theatrical credits include leading roles in Fame, Songs For A New World, and Beauty And The Beast. He combines his stage work with singing, touring the world with the pop/operatic vocal group, The Twelve Tenors.

An interesting fact: Aged 19, Aston toured the UK with his band, playing at some of the UK's best known live music venues, supporting acts such as Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol and The Lost Prophets.
