BIDEFORD BLUES under-12s will be going for the double at the weekend.

They secured the West Country Cleaning Services North Devon Youth League title last week and will try to add the League Cup when they play Appledore in Sunday's final.

Blues got the point they needed to be crowned champions against Braunton Wanderers last Thursday, drawing 2-2.

They finished their league campaign with a 4-2 win against SAS on Friday thanks to a hat-trick from Jack Harris and a Jordan Wonnacott penalty.

A magnificent display by Barnstaple Youth saw them do the league double over SAS.

They dominated the game but could not find the net until three minutes from time when Oaklan Clarke rifled into the roof of the net from Jack Joslin's cross.

Devon Sharp, Jason Basley and Ryan Huxtable were Barnstaple's star players.

Barnstaple Youth beat Bude Town 6-2 in the quarter-finals of the Under-11 Plate with goals from Ryan Freeman, Archie James and Brandon Sharples (four).
