A LAST-MINUTE goal by Mason Sweeney sent Ilfracombe Town through to the quarter-finals of the Aquarius Devon Under-13 Cup.

Mason's strike earned a 4-3 win in an all-North Devon fourth-round tie at Braunton Wanderers.

Ilfracombe, who have won all seven of their fixtures this season, were pushed all the way by a good Braunton side.

But they prevailed with goals from Luke George, Mikey Comley and man of the match Mason who scored two.

In the West Country Cleaning Services North Devon Youth League, Ilfracombe Town under-15s came back from 1-0 down at half time to beat Bideford Blues 4-1.

Troy Burton (two), Willy Berry and Connor McKechnie scored the goals.

In the under-11 division, SAS came away from a hard-fought match at South Molton with a 6-1 win.

Joseph Grigg scored a hat-trick and there were well-taken goals from Max Cooke, Frankie Hutchings and Ryan Mugford.

South Molton applied pressure late in the second half, forcing some excellent saves from Chandler James.

Barnstaple Youth under-10s scored twice in extra time to win 5-3 at Ilfracombe Town in their League Cup quarter-final. The Barnstaple goals came from Finnley Evans (two), Brandon Sharples (two) and Callum Davey.

Barnstaple FC are looking for new players for their girls' teams. Training takes place at the Park Community School, Barnstaple, on Thursdays from 5.40pm and is open to girls aged 12 and over.
