NORTH DEVON were unable to build on a great start against Truro.
The home side took the lead after ten minutes of the Davis Wood League southern one match at the Park Community School, Barnstaple.
But Truro clinically took their chances in the closing stages to leave with a 4-2 win.
For the first time this season, North Devon started well and were rewarded when Pete Smale showed his finishing prowess from an assist by man of the match Phil Brand.
After the Reds' initial drive, Truro hit back with two goals before half time.
North Devon had a penalty flick saved before the break but they created a number of chances in the second half through midfielders Jay Corden, Andy Buller and Matty Brown.
Midway through the half, Sam Witheridge earned a short corner, which Buller converted.
The Reds seemed to be back on top but Truro managed to get behind the defence and made no mistake with their chances. North Devon continued to create opportunities but Truro took the three points.
