Several North Devon roads remain flooded this morning after heavy rain lashed the region overnight.

In Holsworthy, the river has burst its banks at Tamarstone Bridge causing the A3072 Rydon Road to be flooded between the Trewyn Park junction in Holsworthy and the B3254 junction in Grimscott.

Elsewhere, the A386 is flooded in several places between Bideford and Torrington, especially between the Coach Drive junction and the B3227 Limer's Hill junction. Motorists are advised to approach with care.

In Newport, Barnstaple, police have put out ‘slow’ signs on Bishops Tawton Road due to flooding at the Chichester Road junction.

North Devon is expected to remain fairly dry today although heavy rain is set to hit the region again on Wednesday.
