North Devon cricket Tom Allin made his first-class debut today.

The 25-year-old pace bowler from Northam was named in the Warwickshire side for their LV= County Championship match against Middlesex at Edgbaston.

Used as the first-change bowler, Allin sent down ten overs, including two maidens, for 38 runs but did not take a wicket.

At the close of a rain-affected day, Middlesex had reached 280 for three, with Sam Robson unbeaten on 136.
