FOUR athletes from North Devon achieved English Schools standards in the Devon Track and Field Championships at Exeter Arena.
Alex Munn, of Braunton Academy, enjoyed double success in the inter boys category, winning the shot with an English standard put of 13.48m and the discus with a county standard throw of 35.61m.
Christina Brend, of West Buckland School, and Ben Sutton, of Chulmleigh Community College, both achieved English standards over 300m.
Christina won the inter girls race with a personal best of 41.29 and Ben won the junior boys in 37.40 and is ranked third for his age group in the country.
Two weeks after winning the Devon 1,500m steeplechase title, Lucy Campbell, of Petroc, added the Devon Schools senior girls crown with an English standard of 5-27.05.
Rebecca Spear, of West Buckland, won the senior girls discus with a county standard throw of 30.61m and set a personal best of 28.74m for victory in the hammer.
In the junior girls category, Issy Wakefield achieved a double for West Buckland with wins in the 75m hurdles and long jump, both with county standards.
The middle-distance races were successful for North Devon athletes with Annabel Heath, of West Buckland, winning the 800m and Martika Gallagher, from the Park Community School, winning the 1,500m.
Nicola McMillan, of Pilton Community College, achieved a county standard to win the inter girls long jump and Ned Oliver set a county mark to win the inter boys 3,000m for Holsworthy Community College.
