THE NORTH Devon Sports Foundation is ready to help more young people achieve their potential.
Rising sports stars and clubs from the area are invited to apply for grants from the charity.
Previously, the Foundation has backed people from a range of sports, including athletics, baton twirling, cricket, cycling, dance, football, golf, gymnastics, netball, rowing, rugby, surfing, surf ski and swimming.
Those hoping to secure funding will need to show they are striving for excellence in their chosen sport.
Applicants have until February 7 to send in their requests, which will then be considered by a panel.
Write a letter, including your full name, address and telephone number, and outline your achievements and aspirations in your sport.
A supporting letter from your coach or team manager should also be included to back up the application.
Since it launched in 2010, the Foundation has raised thousands of pounds.
In November, it held a celebrity golf day at Saunton with appearances from Iwan Thomas, Martin Keown and an after-dinner speech from television presenter Andrew Castle.
The charity has produced a brochure highlighting its work featuring the young people it has helped over the last three years.
For a copy of the brochure, e-mail secretary Kim Davey at firstname.lastname@example.org with your contact details.
Grant applications can also be posted to Kim at Linden Lea, Newlands, Landkey, EX32 0ND.
