GOALKEEPER Sam Wormington has been named North Devon's first-team player of the season, with Tim Braund taking the second-team honour.

Joe Taylor-Richards won the club's young player of the year award and Connor McCowen-Smith was chosen as the most-improved player.

The top scorers were Pete Smale for the first team and Simon Allen in the seconds.

Nick Howells, who has stepped down as coaching coordinator after seven years, was voted clubman of the year.

The first team were promoted as runners-up in Davis Wood League Southern One, while the A side narrowly missed out as they finished third in South East Two.
