LANDKEY TOWN have made a promising start in the North Devon League Senior Division.

After being promoted last season, they are unbeaten in three games following a 3-2 win at South Molton on Tuesday.

Wayne Thomas and Toby Bennett, with a free kick, put them 2-0 up inside 25 minutes before the Images hit back through Joe Chugg and a Rob Reed penalty.

Dan Dayman’s late strike won the derby, sending Landkey up to second in the table.

Ben Taylor and Thomas both scored twice as Landkey won an entertaining game 7-3 against Torridgeside on Saturday.

Torridgeside fought back from 2-0 and 3-2 down with two goals from Harry Stevens and a penalty by Gary Hill, the veteran.

Bennett, Josh Phillips and an own goal helped Landkey pull clear.

Northam Lions won the battle of the pacesetters, beating Braunton 4-2 after Trevor May put them ahead with his sixth goal in three games.

Braunton’s hopes were dashed when Luke Arkless was sent off for kicking out in the first five minutes and Steve Robinson struck twice to put Northam 3-0 up by half time. Joe Davies added the fourth before late strikes from Dan Roberts and Elliot Whitecross gave the scoreline a closer look.

North Molton remain unbeaten after two clever finishes from Dan Milewski clinched a 4-2 win over Combe Martin.

Darryll Reed put them ahead and Matt Yates made it 2-0 before a young Combe Martin team showed spirit with goals from Reece Hale and Liam Robinson.

Barnstaple FC moved on from the midweek thumping against Braunton by recording a 6-0 win of their own. Joe Barker led the way with a hat-trick against Shamwickshire Rovers with Stuart Cameron and Tom Nash (two) getting the others.

It was a high-scoring afternoon for Woolsery with a 12-0 hammering of Morwenstow. Rob Crump (five), Alan Shaw (four), Josh Johnston (two) and Jack Smallridge completed the rout.

Mike Merrick and Chris Pomeroy gave Putford a 2-1 win over Lynton and Lynmouth who scored through Luke Dyer.
