A LATE goal from Merton’s Peter McMillan stopped the charge from Chivenor in Intermediate Two.

Fremington and Haxton Rangers are the season’s early pacesetters.

He rounded off a flowing move before an own goal from Stuart Brockbank, and Elliot Smith put Chittle 3-1 up by half time.
Strong and Joe Badcock completed the win, while Woolacombe replied with two goals from 16-year-old Broadie Montague and an own goal.
The Seasiders’ cause was not helped when Kieron Monaghan was sent off minutes after going on as a substitute.
