RESTAURANT staff swapped their chef whites for nurse costumes for a fundraiser.
Employees of the New Inn, Roborough, raised more than £500, which will go towards a village defibrillator.
Alongside business partner Tom Baker, husband and wife, James and Magda Berry took over the 16th century pub this summer. This is just one of the themed events they plan to host.
Male staff pulled on their wigs and for the occasion with James coming to work as a naughty nurse.
His wife, Magda, said: "Tom and myself said we would donate £50 if James dressed as a naughty nurse.
"He was a bit hesitant but then James' father in Australia sent over a costume, so he had no choice.
"We all loved it. We have got a great team with loads character so they were more than eager to get dressed up for a good cause.
"I gave the staff some giant syringes, which they filled with water and sprayed at people because it was so hot."
Magda said the men enjoyed dressing up. She said: "Tom enjoyed dressing up far too much. He did have to keep away for the deep fat fryer.
"A local couple who spent the last three months in Crete only got back the day before. They ordered their costumes online from Crete so they could attend they event."
The event raised £585 towards the defibrillator.
