Detectives searching for a woman last seen alive in Ilfracombe will visit the town next week after arresting a man on suspicion of murder.
Catherine Nee, originally from Reading, went missing 12 years ago. She was 31 when she was last seen by her family and would now be 43.
Devon and Cornwall Police believe she had been living in Fore Street, Ilfracombe, for about 18 months around 2001/2002.
Five officers from Thames Valley police are expected in Ilfracombe next week to carry our further investigations.
A 47-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Police would like to hear from anyone who knew Catherine at the time she was in Ilfracombe. Some may also remember her yellow labrador dog Prince.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting the crime reference number URN 230 of 28/01/2013.
Det Insp Kev Mahon, who is heading the investigation to trace Catherine, said: "We are continuing to appeal to anyone who knew Catherine (Kathy) or has any information of her whereabouts. Her family is desperate to trace her so we urge anyone with information to get in touch."
