MOYRA moved into her Barnstaple flat in 1992.
She was attracted to it for its light, airy feel and high ceilings.
"It was quirky that the building was a bit Dutch looking, as my son has Dutch ancestry," she said.
Since then, she has painted dark wood paler and changed fussy wallpaper for painted walls, to create a blank canvas.
"I love white walls which remind me of happy times in Spain. In one room which doesn't get direct sunlight, pale yellows compensate for this."
