A 13-year-old boy with Down's syndrome went missing in Woolacombe this morning prompting police to launch a large-scale search.
The teenager, who is on holiday in North Devon with family members, was reported missing at around 10am. He was last seen in Beach Road wearing a red T-shirt and blue shorts.
The Devon and Cornwall Police helicopter was scrambled and local officers, lifeguards and the Morthoe and Croyde coastguard teams all searched the Woolacombe area to find the missing boy.
He was found safe and well in a nearby newsagents by a member of the public at around 11.30am and returned to his family.
