HUNDREDS of people have turned out to visit the wonders of Barnstaple carnival, in miniature.
Taking place in the town’s guildhall, the event saw thousands of rare and custom-made models put on display in celebration of the town’s annual fair.
Dozens of people from Rowlands Fun Fair, who run Barnstaple Fair, also turned out to view the vast collection of models based on the company.
Organised by Barum Miniatures, the exhibition also featured more than 2,000 miniature soldiers as well as a recreation of the Golden Jubilee celebrations on the Mall.
George Lovering, who helped organise the event, said he was delighted by the turnout.
He said: “Both days we’ve had a constant flow of people coming in. It has been busy all the time
“We had even had David Rowland in visiting. All the guys from the carnival have been in and looked around at everything.
“We have been very pleased with how everything has gone.”
