FOUR drug warrants were carried out by police in Barnstaple yesterday.
Addresses in Sticklepath Terrace, Fort Street and Gould Road were included in the warrants.
Bottles of what was thought to be the heroin substitute methadone were found along with small amounts of cannabis.
The warrants were part of a series aimed at combatting drugs supply, use and associated crime.
A 45-year-old local male was given a warning for the possession of cannabis and further enquiries are underway to arrest further suspects.
Acting Sergeant, Richard Preston, said: “A number of warrants are still planned as we continue to stamp on drug use, supply and criminal activity. This once again sends a clear message that drugs and their associated issues will not be tolerated."
